    Discovery Graph

    What is the Discovery Graph?

    Short answer

The Discovery Graph is the path a buyer actually takes through discovery and the routes that branch from there. It is living, unique to each person, and always adapting as the buyer asks questions, clicks, and chooses.

    1

    Per buyer

A living path unique to each person, always adapting.

    2

    Decisions, not pageviews

Captures how the evaluation actually unfolded.

    3

    Graph vs Map

The Graph is travelled; the Map is defined up front.

Where most tools track page views, the Discovery Graph captures how a decision actually gets made. It starts from what the buyer brings to the session, their role, company, intent, and the signal that brought them in, and it branches into the routes shaped by what they do next. Over many buyers, these graphs accumulate into a living understanding of how your market evaluates.

The Discovery Graph is distinct from the Discovery Map: the Map is the set of routes a team defines up front, while the Graph is the route a specific buyer actually travels.

    In practice

Two buyers enter the same experience and build very different graphs, one drilling into security, the other into pricing, each guided down the path that fits them.
